(Betula nigra 'Heritage')
A beautiful tree for groupings--very tolerant of wet soils. Pyramidal to oval-headed in youth, rounded at maturity. Medium-green foliage with exfoliating bark, ranging from shades of gray-brown to reddish brown in color. A tolerant tree that will withstand severe heat. While it is usually found in wetlands, it can be established in poor soil.
